See music. Hear film.
Trailer Music II is a film and music project that flips the film making process on its head, and highlights the power of music in driving storytelling and imagination. Led by Thomas Lo and Nicole Tj, anon. partnered with Australian composer Nicholas Buc to commission a new work for piano, violin and cello. This cinematic work in turn forms the canvas for 5 filmmakers to create 5 distinct scenes in response to the music. This display of collective creativity showed at Melbourne Music Week, St Kilda Film Festival and TEDx in Washington DC.
Now we bring this experience to Florence Guild. Join us for a multi-sensory evening of film and music in a 3 part performance, film screening and panel discussion. Hear from anon. co-founders Thomas Lo and Nicole Tj about their approach to driving innovation within the age old classical music industry, their learnings from multi-disciplinary collaborations, and the parallels of this with their respective ‘day jobs’ in innovation consulting, experience design and architectural design.
One of Australia’s most innovative performance groups, anon. aims to reimagine the live classical music experience for both new and seasoned audiences alike. Co-founded by pianist Nicole Tj and violinist Thomas Lo in 2013, anon. collaborates with top young musicians, artists and designers in their work, and have performed at Melbourne Recital Centre, Melbourne Music Week, and TEDxFoggyBottom in Washington DC. In 2017, anon. released a Spotify album – ‘On Repeat’. Their work is reflective of their diverse backgrounds that bridge the creative and corporate worlds – Nicole currently works at Deloitte Digital, and Thomas as an architectural designer at Woods Bagot and MODO. Rebecca Proietto rounds off the trio – as an active chamber and orchestral cellist she performs with the Sydney and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras, and Melbourne Chamber Orchestra.
